Spire Scout business information
Terms of Service
Please read these terms before purchasing a subscription or asking us to carry out an assessment.
Version 2026-08-31 · Updated 31 August 2026
1. Who we are
Your service provider is Richard Baker trading as Spire Scout, a UK sole trader. Our business address and contact details are on the Contact and Business Details page, which forms part of these terms. Contact us at spirescout@gmail.com.
2. Who the service is for
Spire Scout provides opportunity research and agreed growth support to businesses, including sole traders. You must be authorised to purchase for the business and provide the information used in your profile. Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any consumer rights that apply.
3. What your plan includes
The plan selected at checkout, the service breakdown and the scope confirmed during onboarding describe your service. Prices are £29 for Local Work Starter, £49 for Tender Fit, £99 for Tender + Growth and £149 for Premium Growth Partner per month. VAT is not added while Spire Scout is not VAT registered.
Local Work Starter covers one primary service in one agreed 10–15 mile area. Tender Fit adds commercial and public-tender research, fit classifications and practical routes to eligibility. The growth plans add the agreed monthly content and research deliverables; a selected marketing asset means one choice from the published menu, not all eight assets each month. Premium also includes its published additional research and strategy support.
Search schedules are UK time: Local at 07:00, 13:00 and 19:00 daily; Tender Fit, Tender + Growth and Premium at 09:00 and 15:00 on weekdays, with Premium renewal/watchlist research each weekday. A search is not a guarantee that a new suitable opportunity will exist.
4. Free assessments and onboarding
The free assessment is a one-off preliminary snapshot, not an ongoing subscription. Where a suitable verified opportunity is found, one can be supplied with full details; further potential matches are described broadly. Work is processed between 08:00 and 20:00 daily. Results are held for at least 2.5 hours after assessment work is completed and sent within a subsequent processing window.
Paid searches begin only after your payment and completed profile are reviewed and activation is confirmed. Please complete onboarding promptly. We ask for clarification when essential details are missing. A Form submission alone does not activate a subscription workflow.
5. Payments, cancellation and plan changes
Stripe processes payments. Your selected monthly subscription renews until cancelled, with billing dates shown in your Stripe confirmation. Onboarding does not move the billing date unless we explicitly agree otherwise.
You may cancel future renewals. The service normally continues to the end of the period already paid for, with no routine prorated refund for an unused part of that month. Billing errors, remedies for service failures and applicable statutory rights are not excluded. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
You may request a different plan or eligible monthly marketing asset as your needs change. Upgrades take effect immediately with the agreed prorated difference charged; downgrades take effect at the next renewal. We confirm the effective date and any charge before a plan change. No additional charge is authorised merely by asking about another plan. New work may be paused while payment is overdue; we will explain how to resolve this.
6. Research limitations and your responsibilities
We use accessible public sources and the business information you provide. Private groups, restricted portals and unpublished opportunities may not be accessible. Sources, deadlines and requirements can change after a check. You remain responsible for verifying the buyer's current documents, eligibility, capacity and commercial terms before taking action.
Fit Now, Fit With Mobilisation, Partner or Subcontract Route, Future Opportunity and Do Not Pursue are research assessments, not guarantees. Staffing, insurance, accreditation and partnership suggestions need your own investigation and professional advice where appropriate.
We do not write or submit bids, make applications on your behalf or guarantee leads, eligibility, contract awards, revenue or search rankings. You decide whether to contact a buyer or apply. Keep profile details accurate and tell us about changes to capacity, exclusions, credentials or contact details.
7. Growth content and approvals
Supply only material you have permission to use. You must check factual claims, prices, testimonials and permissions in any draft. We do not invent credentials, reviews or case-study results. Publishing content or contacting researched prospects on your behalf requires separate recorded approval. A prospect list does not mean the organisations have requested contact or agreed to buy.
Use only the revision windows included in your plan; unused windows do not roll over. Paid deliverables may be used for your business, subject to third-party asset licences. Do not redistribute confidential research or content supplied for another customer.
8. Confidentiality and information use
We do not sell, rent or trade information you supply, give it to other customers, or disclose it for unrelated marketing. We use it for your requested assessment or service, account administration, security, support and legal obligations. Optional promotional messages require the appropriate separate permission.
Necessary technology providers process information to support the service, and disclosure may be required by law. Therefore, we do not promise that information never leaves our own systems. Our Privacy Notice explains the providers, purposes and safeguards. Public use of your name, testimonial or case study requires your approval.
9. Problems, changes and legal rights
Please contact us promptly about errors, missed deliverables or complaints so we can investigate and put matters right. We will exercise reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms for legal or service changes and will explain material changes before they affect a future renewal. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. English law applies, subject to any mandatory protections and court rights that apply to you.
